About The Event
Meditation hits the dance floor!Explore meditation in a dynamic, fun and new way with Flow Dance Meditation.
Flow Dance Meditation takes you on a journey that will CONNECT you more deeply with yourself, MOVE and shift your energy, so you can RELEASE what is no longer serving you and find your own unique FLOW.
Sara Fakih your facilitator has been teaching dance for most of her life. She now teaches dance with more of a healing intention and loves to facilitate ecstatic dance experiences like Flow Dance Meditation. Sara is an international presenter in both Yoga and Dance and has also created her own practice called Sambaddha alongside her own dancehall class Soul-full dance.
Flow Dance Meditation is an un-choreographed, free-moving meditation practice, which encourages self-expression and discovery. It allows you to explore and express how you feel through movement. You don’t have to learn any steps and there’s no pressure to perform, making it easier to relax, allowing the body and mind to get into a state of flow.
The music we use plays an important role in helping us to drop into a flow state of consciousness.‘Connect’, ‘Move’ and ‘Release’ are the three sections of this experience. In between the three sections there is a drone sound which invites you to check in within yourself and using your interoceptive sense to feel what is moving through you.
The music mixes are carefully curated (by Nathan Burroughs an Ibiza Wellness DJ) as a conduit to let the mind and body transcend into a state of bliss, using varied tempos, rhythms and melodic moods within the music to support the facilitators guidance and help you to connect to the river of energy flowing within you.
If you want more info you can add this too:This conscious dance program is a vehicle for embodiment, ‘doing the work’ and raising consciousness. Through somatic techniques you will become more deeply connected with yourself, especially your inner world.FDM invites you to get present, so you can feel it and heal it; in an accessible, fun and dynamic way.
This practice is about finding embodied presence, experiencing yourself in the moment, strengthening your felt sense of self and building awareness so you have more choices in responding to life, instead of getting stuck in reactive states where you only see one way out.
As trauma informed facilitators of Flow Dance Meditation, we hold space with emotional intelligence for participants too; Connect more deeply with themselves Move and shift their energy. Catharticly release what isn’t serving them So they can find their own unique FLOW.
